Mackenzie Turns 8

My baby is 8!!!  Since there was no school on Friday, Mackenzie’s birthday, Nana and I took her to Des Moines, to Build-A-Bear.  This was her gift from Papa and Nana and Aunt Marci.  She had a blast!!  She made a dog, which she named Georgia.  Here are some pictures.

Last Thursday, Marcus and I packed up and headed to Sacramento CA, where we joined an Autism research study at UC Davis.  We began the study in Madison WI, last April.  This was the follow-up.  We flew in on Thursday, participated in the study on Friday, then flew home on Saturday.  While we were there we got to meet up with a good friend of mine, Tina, whose son Zach is Miles’ age.  We went to the zoo, went out for dinner, and hung out at her house.  Here are some pictures from our visit.

Carroll’s Pumpkin Farm

This past Saturday, we took the kids to Carroll’s Pumpkin Farm.  We went on a wagon ride into the pumpkin patch, shot off corn cannons, and fed snacks to the goats.  We had a good time.  We took a lot of pictures, although from looking at them you’d think we only had 2 kids.  Miles decided he’d rather go off on his own.  🙂

Visit to Lynnville

Here are some pictures Monte took of the kids at the Linden House, in Lynnville.

L-S Homecoming 2011

Yesterday was homecoming at Lynnville-Sully.  Here is a picture of the kids wearing their new homecoming shirts.  Also, a picture of Mackenzie with her face showing her school spirit.
