Father & Son Activity

Miles has started showing an interest in target shooting with Monte.  It’s something they both enjoy, that they can do together.  They went out this afternoon.  Here are some pictures of Miles learning to clean the shotgun and video Monte took.

Our trampoline goes for a stroll

Wow, we had some intense wind here earlier today. The wind speed was 40mph. It blew our trampoline a block down the street. Monte had to take the lawn tractor down and drag it back with a tow rope. I’m sure it’s ruined now.

The kids and I were playing a game at the table, when the trampoline lifted up off the ground, then toppled over and over down the street. Needless to say, it scared us all. I was afraid it would hit a house.

Mackenzie’s Tote

I’ve been making a lot of tote bags lately, giving some away and selling some.  Mackenzie has been begging me to teach her how to make one.  We spent the better part of today making it.

First visit with baby Charlie

Announcing Charles Robert Sligh VI.  This was our first visit with Monte’s brother Skip and wife Kristina’s, new baby.

Track & Field Day 2011 #1

Yesterday was the kids’ track & field day.  It was a great day to be outside.  Pictures of Miles are in T&F day entry #2.

1st Grade Campout/Sleepover

Mrs. Rozendaal (Mackenzie’s teacher) and Mrs. Johnson (the other 1st grade teacher) put together a camp out for their classes.  There were 27 kids.  It was supposed to be outside, but it was cold and rainy, so they moved the camp out inside.  The kids had a blast!!  I stayed over to help out.
